Alan Borrowman Director
Alan heads up our Private Client Department that has close links with SOPS and Age Concern. He has lived in East Lothian for many years and has acted as Secretary to the Haddington Show for over 25 years. He is a founder member of GSB and looks after our interests in Haddington. In his spare time, he is a long-suffering supporter of his beloved Alloa Athletic FC.
Angela Craig Director
Angela has successfully built up a thriving Court Department that specialises in all types of family and criminal cases. Following the disappointing decision to close Haddington Sheriff Court, Angela and her team have quickly adapted to the change thus ensuring efficient and effective representation at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. Her main hobby is swimming.
Ian Philp Director
Ian, although an Edinburgh resident, has close connections with East Lothian and trained in Haddington before spending a substantial part of his career in Industry, working in commercial and senior management posts for several multinationals including Ferranti, Trafalgar House, Rolls Royce and VA Technologie, before joining GSB in 2005. He looks after our commercial clients as well as running our Tranent office. Outside of work, cooking and theatre are his main interests.
Cheryl Edgar Senior Associate
Originally from Dundee, Cheryl has worked in Edinburgh and East Lothian since she qualified in 1991, and has been living in Gullane for over ten years. She enjoys working in her local community and is based in our North Berwick office. Cheryl deals with all aspects of property work and strengthens our private client team in providing legal advice on Wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries. She is a keen coastal walker and has participated in a number of long distance charity walking events.
